The countdown has started in less than 1000 days Windows XP will definitely go end of life. However note that not only Windows XP reaches its end soon, Office 2003, Windows Server 2003, Exchange 2003, SCCM 2003 and some other products are about to reach their end of life within the same timeframe.
For my personal reference and yours if you like, I have put together a short overview of the end of life dates for the products we deal with mostly in a typical Windows SMB or Enterprise environment.

Just received a Tweet from @Browsium reminding me about Internet Explorer, Now to be honest, you would think that this information is clearly shown on the Microsoft Product Lifecycle page, well it isn’t. Instead of putting a clear date, Microsoft refers to the general lifecycle support policy description. . Maybe read this article The Support Lifecycle for Internet Explorer that tries to explain things.
My best guess of IE support is shown in the table below. If anyone has clear facts / dates, let me know.

Internet Explorer is a “component” of Windows and support will end for said components when the operating system for which they were created for goes to end of life; for Windows XP, this is April 8, 2014. Thus, in April, Internet Explorer 6/7 will no longer be supported by Microsoft on the Windows XP operating system.
